About

Hello and Bonjour! My name is Amy, and I am an author, professional photographer, and animal lover. I live by the Mediterranean Sea in Southern France with my husband, Stéfane, and our rescue dog, Sammy. It’s a gentle life that follows the rhythm of the Mediterranean Sea, rather than a calendar or the numbers on the clock.

In 2013, I sold everything in the United States and arrived in Provence with only two suitcases and my two dogs, Anna and Riley. I embarked on a new adventure in France. I taught about wine at the Institute of American Universities in the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence. After six years, I returned to school to pursue a degree in professional photography, and we moved to our little village on the Côte Bleue.

My life changed abruptly upon returning from a vacation in Biarritz. I saw the road sign for Lourdes and, for no reason, I took the exit. I was born and raised Catholic, but over time, my faith slipped away, and I didn’t miss it. At the grotto in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, God called me back in a spectacular way. Lourdes is known for miracles! I wasn’t looking for God, but He came looking for me. Since that day, I have been on a journey of faith. It would have been nice if God had given me a roadmap, but no such luck.

I’m on a journey of faith, doing the best I can to find my way, and I’d love to walk it with others—sharing thoughts, experiences, and moments along the way!

I’m the author and photographer of several books, including The Rosary Reflections & Photographs, Spiritual Eucharist Photographs & Reflections, and Messages from the Mediterranean, which I created with my sister Debbie. I run two non-profit organisations, Letters to Lourdes and Colibris des Mers.
