What if God had a breakfast buffet? Imagine a table overflowing with mercy, forgiveness, grace, and love, all available in unlimited portions. The problem is that we tend to fill our plates with the comforting parts of faith and pass over the dishes that challenge us. Forgiveness? Humility? Letting go? Perhaps we will try those tomorrow. But faith was never meant to be a buffet where we choose only what we like. Sometimes the very things we most want to leave behind are exactly what God encourages us to taste.
